Happy New Year! We hope that you have been able stay warm and safe in this incredibly cold and snowy weather.

• Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the Neighbourhood Association. The meeting will be on January 29, 2026, at 6:00pm in the Juniper Room at Normandy Living Place (468 Range Road). We encourage any interested members to come join the meeting to learn about the activities of the Association this past year.

We are seeking new board members. We are a small board and could take on more projects with additional volunteers. The time commitment is small- about 2-3 meetings per year, and email correspondence about once per month.

If you wish to become a board member but are unable to attend the AGM on January 29th, please send an email to info@takhini.org to indicate your interest in joining the board, including a few sentences about your interest.

• Recently, the Yukon government announced that it is no longer moving forward with the Takhini Educational Reserve as the planned location for Whitehorse Elementary School. The government plans to engage with parents and the school community in the new year to explore new locations for Whitehorse Elementary School.
